Why the last peel wore off
You booked one. Your skin looked incredible for about 5 days. Then it drifted back, and the breakouts or the pigment returned on schedule.
So you booked another one somewhere else. Different acid, different depth, no record of what the first one did to your skin. You collected appointments where a plan should have sat.

The mechanism
3 depths, one ladder
GlyMed Plus gives us 3 working depths. We start at the depth your barrier can handle, prove it responds, then escalate. Your barrier stays intact the whole way, which is what makes the results hold.
Oxygen and low-percentage acids that self-neutralize. You feel warmth and some tingling for a few minutes. Most people see no visible flaking and go back to work the same afternoon.
3 of the 6 protocols live at this depth. For plenty of skin the whole series lives here and never needs to climb.
Your first peel. Active acne. Rosacea and reactive skin. Pregnancy and nursing with physician consent.
30% glycolic and lactic. Real resurfacing for pigment, photo-damage and post-acne marks, with light shedding around days 3 to 5.
Before we book it you need 1 to 3 very superficial peels, plus 2 weeks of home care at Fitzpatrick I to III or 2 to 4 weeks at IV to VI. Prepped skin takes the same acid with a fraction of the reaction, which is the entire reason for the wait.

Skin builds tolerance the way muscle does. Push a barrier that hasn’t been prepared and you get inflammation, and inflammation on pigmented skin makes more pigment. Prepare it first and the same acid does more work with less reaction. That’s why we’ll turn down a corrective peel on a first visit, even when you ask for one.
How we run a peel
6 rules we don’t bend
These sit between a peel that compounds and a peel that costs you 6 weeks of repair.
We place you. You don’t pick off a menu.
Your assessment sets the starting depth from your Fitzpatrick type, your treatment history and what your skin is doing that week. Nobody here will ask you to choose an acid percentage.
One dial moves per treatment.
Layers go 1 to 2, then 2 to 3, then 3 to 4 and stop. Or contact time goes 3 to 5 minutes, then up by 1 or 2 to a 15 minute ceiling. Never both in the same visit, so we always know what caused the response.
Corrective depths are gated.
Before a 30% peel you need 1 to 3 very superficial peels and 2 weeks of home care at Fitzpatrick I to III, or 2 to 4 weeks at IV to VI. We hold that line for weddings too.
Home care isn’t optional.
The 2 weeks before a corrective peel do half the work. Prepped skin takes a lower percentage for the same result, so we hold you at your current depth until the home care is done.
Aerolase runs in the same session.
All 6 depths pair with Aerolase Neo Elite in one appointment. Laser and resurfacing in a single visit, which means fewer trips to Willoughby and a faster series.
Everything else gets spaced on purpose.

The acne entry point
A salicylic cleanse against bacteria and oil, then layered oxygen placed on active lesions. Gentle enough to book while you’re broken out, which is the point of it.

All grades of acne. Combination and oily skin. Pregnancy and nursing require physician consent for the salicylic step.

Peptide Perfection Peel
The one cleared for rosacea
A 15% AHA blend built on 6 peptides. Mandelic acid is the fourth smallest AHA, so it takes its time getting through the skin and provokes a fraction of the reaction glycolic causes at the same percentage. This is the one we book for skin other clinics turn away.
Best for
Rosacea, redness and reactive skin. Also acne, aging and pigment. Pregnancy and nursing with physician consent.

Our corrective depth
15% glycolic for speed, 15% lactic for tolerance. Lactic acid above 5% blocks tyrosinase, the enzyme making the pigment in the first place, which is why this depth belongs in pigment work.

The questions we get most
Does it hurt, and will I peel?
At the very superficial depths you feel warmth and some tingling for a few minutes, and most people see no visible flaking at all. At the corrective depth you can expect light shedding around days 3 to 5. Pat Orr, who has sensitive skin, put the pain level at minimal with virtually no downtime.
I’ve got sensitive or reactive skin. Are peels off the table?
The Peptide Perfection Peel was built for rosacea and reactive skin. Mandelic acid takes its time getting through the skin, so it provokes a fraction of the reaction glycolic causes at the same percentage. What stays off the table is a corrective peel on unprepared reactive skin, which is what the gating rules prevent.
How do I know which peel to book?
You don’t have to. Book the skin assessment and we place you. Your Fitzpatrick type, your history, your home care and what your skin is doing that week decide the starting depth. You leave with the full progression mapped, including how many visits it takes and what it costs.
I’ve had peels before and they did nothing. Why would this be different?
One peel at the wrong depth, with no home care and no follow-up, does about what you saw. 3 things change the outcome: placement, sequence and prep. We hold you at a depth until your skin responds, move one variable per visit, and put you on home care between treatments so the peel has something to work with. Bring what you know about the peels you’ve had and we’ll use it.
What does the whole series cost?
Pick your protocol above and the number is right there. A series of 6 runs $805 to $1,160 as a package, which is 10% off every treatment. Paid one visit at a time the same 6 run $894 to $1,290. Packages never expire, and if your skin earns a deeper peel partway through we credit the balance against it. One of our clients wrote in her review that we are not trying to oversell products either.
Can I do a peel with my other treatments?
Aerolase Neo Elite runs in the same session at every depth, which is the pairing most of our plan clients use. LED runs in the same session, LED first. Dermaplaning pairs at the very superficial depths once each has been performed on its own. Dermapen 4 microneedling gets 14 to 21 days of space. HydraFacial gets its own appointment.
What do I need to stop using beforehand?
Prescription Retin-A stops 7 days before and stays off for 7 days after. Non-prescription retinol, AHA and BHA stop 3 to 5 days on either side. Skip waxing, threading and hair removal creams on the treatment area for a week before. We send the full pre-care list when you book.
I’m pregnant or nursing. Can I still do this?
Peels sit in the use-with-caution tier during pregnancy and nursing, which means we need physician consent before we treat you. Bring that and we’ll place you at a very superficial depth. Without it we’ll book you a treatment that doesn’t require it and start the peel series after.
How fast will I see something?
The first peel brightens the same day and most people notice it that evening. Tone and texture take the series. Pigment moves slowest and starts shifting around treatment 4. If you need one visit to look good for something on the weekend, say so when you book and we’ll pick for that.

6 to 8 treatments 2 weeks apart runs 12 to 16 weeks. Book your assessment this month and your corrective depth lands in late fall, when sun exposure drops and pigment work holds best. Start in November and you spend the spring on the same result.
