FAQ: Hyperpigmentation + Melasma at The Glow Lab

What types of pigment do you treat?

We treat sun damage, melasma, post-acne marks, and uneven tone caused by inflammation, hormones, or environmental stressors.

What causes melasma and stubborn pigment?

Hormonal shifts, sun exposure, heat, and inflammation can all trigger or worsen pigment. Melasma in particular is chronic and often linked to internal factors.

Which treatments are safe for pigmentation?

We use barrier-safe options like Aerolase, BioRePeel, and microneedling to safely lift pigment without worsening inflammation or triggering rebound.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients need a series of 3–6 sessions depending on the severity of pigment and treatment chosen. Your plan is always customized.

Can I treat melasma if I have sensitive skin?

Yes. All of our pigment treatments are safe for sensitive skin and Fitzpatrick I–VI. We take a conservative, results-driven approach.

Do you treat post-acne pigment too?

Absolutely. We specialize in treating red and brown marks left behind after breakouts—especially in acne-prone or reactive skin types.

How do I get started?
